Pricing a rebrand without flinching

The number is a decision, not a calculation. Once we accepted that, quoting got faster and arguing about hours stopped.

Hourly billing punishes experience. Getting to a good mark in a week instead of a month should not cost the client less, and it should not cost us our margin either.

Three questions before any number

  • What does this unlock for the business if it goes well?

  • Who has to approve it, and what do they need to see?

  • What happens if we do nothing?

If we cannot answer the first question, the project is not ready to be priced.

Then one price, one timeline, written down. If the scope changes we requote rather than absorbing it quietly, which turns out to be the part clients actually appreciate.
